Buy Monero with SEPA

Before a SEPA Monero purchase

A SEPA transfer pays euros to a bank account. It does not send Monero. With LocalMonero, the bank payment and the seller’s later Monero transfer are two separate steps. Read the current price, markup and limits in the purchase form and pricing page before creating a contract.

Use the bank details on your contract

After approval, copy the exact beneficiary and IBAN from the private order. Check any beneficiary warning in your bank before sending. A French IBAN can receive a cross-border euro transfer through SEPA; this does not by itself establish instant reachability or LocalMonero availability in your country.

Check timing before sending

A standard transfer may miss the 90-minute receipt window, especially around cut-off times, weekends or holidays. Check with both banks whether an instant transfer is available for this beneficiary and amount. If it cannot arrive within the window, ask the seller in the private chat before paying.

Keep payment and wallet checks separate

Send only the amount agreed in the contract and follow its payment instructions. Check any bank fees separately. A valid Monero address is not proof that a recipient is trustworthy. Reject requests for your seed phrase, remote access or an extra transfer to “unlock” funds.
