How to buy Monero

1. Review the offer

Choose an amount within the live limits, enter your Monero mainnet receiving address and a working email, then review the quote and terms. LocalMonero checks the address format, not ownership or whether your wallet provider will credit it. Keep control of your recovery phrase; never share it.

2. Create the contract

Submitting creates a private contract with the displayed EUR amount, Monero quantity and price saved at that moment. Later market moves do not reprice it. Keep the private link: it provides access to the order and chat. The seller must approve before you pay.

3. Pay after approval

Approval reveals the assigned beneficiary and IBAN and starts the 90-minute payment window. The seller must receive your transfer within that window. Check the beneficiary, amount, bank availability and countdown. Never reuse bank details from another contract.

4. Follow delivery

After sending, mark the transfer as paid. That report is not proof of receipt: the seller checks the bank account before manually sending Monero. Read the contract updates and use its chat for questions. Blockchain confirmations are separate from bank settlement.

If something goes wrong

Do not start a transfer after the deadline. If it was already sent, report it and contact the seller. After the payment window, the contract allows a dispute to be opened where applicable. This records the issue for discussion with the seller; it is not independent arbitration or an automatic refund. Existing older contracts may retain the acceptance step shown on their own page.
