SEPA Instant payments for Monero

What SEPA Instant does

SCT Inst is a euro bank-transfer scheme designed for funds to reach the receiving payment account within seconds, around the clock. It concerns the bank leg of a purchase. It neither approves a LocalMonero contract nor sends or confirms Monero.

Check both banks

Participation varies by institution, account and payment route. Check the sending bank and the receiving bank, beneficiary verification, transaction limits, maintenance and any fee before confirming. The EPC register is a reference list, not a live availability test.

Paying a French IBAN

In principle, a SEPA euro transfer can cross borders to a French IBAN. An IBAN’s country prefix does not prove SCT Inst eligibility. Use only the beneficiary and account assigned in your approved contract and resolve bank warnings before payment.

Monero still has its own timing

LocalMonero uses manual approval, manual confirmation of bank receipt and manual Monero delivery. The payment window is 90 minutes from approval. An instant transfer does not guarantee immediate operator availability or blockchain confirmation.

SCT Inst participants by country
